
Silvia Bond (Yelena)
Silvia is so very thrilled to be part of this production of Uncle Vanya. Off-Broadway/regional credits: Natasha in Three Sisters at The Sheen Center, Masha in The Seagull, Hero in We’ve Come to Believe at the Humana Festival, and Titania/Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Film/TV credits: “Honey, Don’t!”, “Blue Bloods,” and “RIP.” She trained at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and was an apprentice at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Jeff Dylan Garrett (Astrov)
Jeff is elated to work with the Hudson Classical Theater Company! An award-winning actor and playwright, he’s appeared in productions across New York, as well as regionally and internationally. Credits include: 57 Parkview, Collapse, The Pillowman, along with many more. His newest original work, Ides of May, will premiere later this summer in NYC. For Mom. Cordis Heard (Maria)
Cordis began her acting career in Chicago with Paul Sills of The Second City and Story Theater. She was a member of the Organic Theater Company from 1970-1978. She was also a founder of The Victory Gardens Theater before coming to New York where she has performed On and Off Broadway, in many regional theaters and in film and television. She would like to thank everyone for this wonderful adventure with Uncle Vanya.
Dan McVey (Vanya)
Dan is thrilled to be working with Hudson Classical Theater Company again after appearing as Casca in last year’s production of Julius Caesar. Other stage roles include Billy in Pretty Babies (13th Street Rep) for which he received a New York Innovative Theater Award for Best Supporting Actor, Ed in Halftime with Don (NJ Rep), and Francisco/Bernardo in Elsinore County (Theater Row) among others. Film work includes roles in “Maybe Next Year,” “On the Table,” “Amadeus Hotel,” and more. Dan trained at the William Esper Studio in New York.

Charlotte Nichols (Sonya) is thrilled to be working on Uncle Vanya with the Hudson Classical Theater Company. John L. Payne (Professor Serebryakov)
John is a New York based actor, who received his training at HB Studios under Austin Pendleton and Michael Beckett. He also studies with Geoffrey Owens for Shakespeare. Favorite roles include: Jim Tawney in American Rot, Claudius in Hamlet, Eddie Carbone in View From the Bridge. John thanks Hudson Classical Theater Company for the opportunity, and, as always, Jill for her unwavering support.
Claudia Unger (Marina)
Claudia is an actor and singer. Off-Off Broadway she was Mrs. Murphy in Here I Am, Joni in Prospect Hill, and a French cabaret singer in The Ghastly Cabaret. Regional theatre credits include Hannah in Flashdance the Musical and Ensemble member in the Broadway National Tour The Grand Tour. She made TV appearances on “The Doctors.” Claudia graduated from Bard College in theatre and studied acting with Uta Hagen and singing with Helen Gallagher. Originally from Long Island, she grew up in a musical theatre family.
Nicholas Martin-Smith (Director)
Mr. Martin-Smith founded Hudson Classical Theater Company in 2004 and has served as its Artistic Director for 19 years. He has directed, for the company, countless plays including Romeo & Juliet (twice), Richard II, Richard III, Coriolanus, Richard Sheridan's The School for Scandal, Henrik Ibsen's The Lady from the Sea, and Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility and Emma. He also directed the award-winning MARGARET: Shakespeare's Warrior Queen, an adaptation he created from Shakespeare's Henry VI trilogy. Mr. Martin-Smith also had the pleasure of directing the world premiere of new adaptations of Alexandre Dumas's The D'Artagnan Romances which includes The Three Musketeers, The Three Musketeers: 20 Years Later, The Man in the Iron Mask, as well as his masterpiece The Count of Monte Cristo, all adapted by his long-time collaborator Susane Lee. Mr. Martin-Smith is also directing all the plays for this summer season.
Vaishanavi Raul (Stage Manager)
Vai is excited to be working on Uncle Vanya. Her recent credits include America is in the Heart (Hi-ARTS), When the Smoke Clears (The Flea), Aries in Wolf's Clothing (New York Theatre Festival), Animal Farm (Stagedoor Manor), Alexa, Play (United Solo, Edinburgh Fringe), Time Share (Off-Broadway Credit, The 14th ST Y). Vai thanks her girlfriend, Gosia, for being a big part of her small world.
Seo Yun (Costume Designer)
Seo is a South Korean costume designer and craftsperson based in Brooklyn. Past credits include: Rhinoceros (NYU Tisch), Homebody (Tank), The Nursery (The Flea), Can’t Make an Omelette (Columbia LenFest), Cinderella and Frankenstein are Dead (Brighton Fringe), The Duck (NYU Tisch). Awards: Willa Kim Costume Design Scholarship, USITT Emerging Creatives Showcase 2026 Cohort. @seo_yun_design. Outside of theatre, Seo is also a portrait painter and visual artist.
Malgorzata Jasiniak (Assistant Stage Manager)
Malgorzata is a theater maker and performer from Kraków, Poland. Most recently they produced their play Aries in Wolf's Clothing at New York Theater Festival and performed as Borys in Beets at IRT Theater. They received the Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree from The New School and they continuously aspire to create and perform works that resonate deeply with audiences, contributing meaningfully to the performing arts community. They are eternally grateful for the support from their family, friends, and the ever-growing love from their partner.
Anastasia Koronioti-Davis (Associate Costume Designer)
Anastasia is thrilled to be making her debut in a theater production. She has designed dance costumes for performers in MOPTOP Showcase, Prelude Dance Competition, international salsa competitions. An architect and dancer/performer herself, Anastasia loves to bring depth to characters on stage through texture, color and movement. She enjoys creating upcycle fashion and swimwear. Anastasia is based in NYC and loves traveling, but you can find her on Instagram @anastasiakd_sunshine.

Tony Mita (Fight Director) Tony has been training & working in this art for over 15 years and is driven by a mix of his passions for historical martial arts and nerd culture to create a blend of martially realistic with out-of-this-world fantastical in his work.
Mabon Gibson (Fight Director)
Mabon has been training and working in stage combat for 7 years and
has training in Brazilian Jujitsu, Muay Thai, and Shotokan Karate.
They enjoy using stage violence as a vehicle for character work and strive to
empower others to do so as well.
Susane Lee (Executive Producer)
Susane is the Executive Artistic Director of Hudson Classical Theater Company
and founder of W.A.G.G. (Writers-A-Go-Go). She has adapted & directed
several productions for HCTC, including Pride & Prejudice,
Lysisarah, and co-directed Emma. She has also directed for 365
Women a Year Playwrights Festival and received Best Director Finalist, twice,
for the Take Ten Theater Festival. She most recently directed Lucy Wang’s
one-woman show, The Silver Menace. Susane has adapted many classics for
the stage, including six Alexandre Dumas novels, and three Jane Austen novels.
Susane began her career in television where she was at WGBH/NOVA series for
several years, then at Channel 13 where she traveled to more than 100 cities
across the US., producing and writing one hour documentaries for 12 years. She’s
a Lifetime member of the Writers Guild of America, East and a member of
SAG/AFTRA. Susane published a memoir in MORE Magazine and was a Finalist for the
Artistic Achievement Award given by the League of Independent Theater in the
fall of 2024. She will be adapting this summer’s productions of
The Dancing Men: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, from the short story by Sir Conan Arthur Doyle.
