Bruce Barton* (Henry Dashwood/Thomas) Bruce is very pleased to be making his eleventh HCTC appearance, having just completed his tenth as the title role in Julius Caesar. Last season, summer of 2024, he appeared as Menenius Agrippa in Coriolanus. Previously he was in, among others, The Winter’s Tale (as Leontes), The Three Musketeers, Henry V, Hamlet and The Merry Wives of Windsor. An HCTC company member since 2014, he has also performed with Gorilla Rep, Jean Cocteau Rep, Riverside Shakespeare, and the Blue Coyote Theater Company, as well as numerous regional theaters. He was also featured in the independent film “Paradise East.”
Ben Brock (John Dashwood/Mr. Palmer)
is grateful for the community that Hudson Classical Theater Company has built and for the invitation to join it. Ben Brock has a BFA in Acting from Ball State University and currently takes classes at the Upright Citizens' Brigade. He would like to thank his mom for instilling in him a love of Jane Austen. He also thanks his friends in the Heights for their support.
Fever Hawk Browne* (Sir John Middleton) is a New York based actor with but one goal in mind and that is to build an impressive body of work. He is thankful for his family, friends and all those who practice the craft of acting in all of its many wonderful forms. Fever is currently in production in the Dennis Mitchell television series "Pressure" slated for release later this year. This is Fever's third production with Hudson Classical Theatre Company.
Dixie Carroll (Charlotte Palmer) Dixie is thrilled to make her outdoor theater debut! Stagecredits include: The Wayward Women, 2025 Queen’s Short Play Festival finalist; The Girl with the Red Hair; Helen of Troy in Trojan Women; and Arthur in King Arthur: a British Panto. She was a featured soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Cantata No. 21, and sings regularly with Holy Trinity in Lincoln Square. TV credits include: “Diabolical” and “Trapped.” When not performing, Dixie is literally running in circles in Central Park—she’s training for her first NYC Marathon and questioning her life choices. @DixieCarroll
Sasha Fazulyanov (Elinor Dashwood) Sasha couldn’t be more thrilled to spend this summer in the world of Jane Austen at Riverside Park! Theater Credits include Jane Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Liesl von Trapp in The Sound of Music and Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest. Film credits include Danielle in “Out of Pocket” and Cristy in “OUT: Once Upon a Time.” Sasha has a BFA in Musical Theater from BYU. Kate Giffin (Marianne Dashwood) is excited to be making her debut performance with Hudson Classical this summer. She recently performed in Gallery Players' Romeo and Juliet and in Actors Theatre of Columbus' An Iliad. Her film credits include "Noise in the Village" and "Mint."
Rebecca Wei Hsieh (Lucy Steele) is a Taiwanese actor and writer with a BA from Wesleyan University. Some favorite credits include Younger Anna May Wong in Anna May Wong: The Actress Who Died a Thousand Deaths (Mabou Mines), Ensemble in Lives of Tiresias (Jefferson Market Playhouse) and Celia in As You Like It (Quest Players). Rebecca is also a voice actor who has lent her voice to audio dramas, video games and narration. She is currently co-writing a memoir about life in Tibet under Chinese occupation. Charlie Lubeck* (Edward/Robert Ferrars) Charlie is a multi-hyphenate performer and musician who, for all intents and purposes, might have come from Saturn. This isn't provable, nor is it disprovable, nor does it give him any particular artistic edge, but it is worth mentioning. Past endeavors include "Ghostlight", Ragtime, Into the Woods, Macbeth, the delusion that he would have made an excellent fighter pilot when he was 20, and a relationship to the desert that can be talked about if you approach him in the correct fashion choices.
Elizabeth Mialaret (Mrs. Jennings) Elizabeth is quite pleased to be a member of this cast. She has recently appeared as Ethel Savage in The Curious Savage, and Violet Venable in Suddenly Last Summer. Other roles include Violet Bradman in Blithe Spirits, Lillian Troy in I Hate Hamlet, Katherine Brandt in 33 Variations, Kent in King Lear, Gertrude in Hamlet, the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, and Sister Aloysius in Doubt. Galen Murphy-Hoffman* (Colonel Brandon) is quite delighted to be making his Hudson Classical debut. Galen was last seen as Caesar in Julius Caesar. Off Broadway: Picked Up and The Dishonorable Discharge of Private Pitts. Regional theater: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Richard II, Henry VI, Titus Andronicus, Assassins, Next to Normal, Hedda Gabler, Camelot, Mame, Reefer Madness, and Christmas Carol. Becky Rusch* (Margaret Dashwood & Dance Captain) Becky is so excited to make her Hudson Classical debut! Parmeet Singh* (Willoughby)Parmeet is elated to join the cast. Coming fresh from The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's LIVE! company where he played Romeo in Romeo And Juliet and Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream. After performing Shakespare in Parks with Hip to Hip theatre, he was the lead in the premier of 'Haunt Me' put up by Tier5 theatre company. He also shot an Indie film this past year named "And Eat it Too". He graduated from the conservatory program at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Parmeet also trained at the National School of Drama, India.

Diana Chen/Tzu-Ling Chen (Assistant Stage Manager | she/her) is a stage manager from Taiwan. She is currently a Stage Management MFA student at Columbia University. Her recent credits include Can’t Make an Omelette (Columbia University), 1001 Nights (Columbia University), Three Sisters (Columbia University), Cape No.7 Dreamaker (Allupeople Theatre), and A Dream Like A Dream (Performance Workshop Theatre Taipei). Tanuka Ghosh (Costume Designer) is grateful to be a part of this year’s production of Sense and sensibility at Hudson Classical Theater. Tanuka’s costume design credits include Queen Margaret, School for Scandal, Coriolanus, 12th Night. Apart from Costuming, Tanuka has worked as a Fashion Designer in the industry for 15 years. She has showcased her capsule collection in Milan and New York in the past. She loves to collaborate with other artists from time to time, and has exhibited at Art galleries in Chelsea, NY.
Angela Zhang (Costume Assistant) Angela is a costume designer and maker currently pursuing her MFA in Costume Design at Boston University. Angela’s recent design work at BU includes Desdemona: A Play about a Handkerchief, The Rink, and the upcoming musical Flowers for Mrs Harris. Angela previously earned a BA in Costume for Theatre and Screen from the University of the Arts London, where Angela specialised in historical and dance costume construction. While in London, Angela contributed to The Costumed Gallery, a 2023 dance performance at the National Gallery, and later worked as a theatrical costumer at Cosprop Ltd., gaining hands-on experience with period garments for stage and screen. With a strong foundation in both design and construction, Angela brings detail, emotion, and storytelling to every costume Angela creates. Angela is thrilled to work on this production.
Karen Eterovich (Dance Choreographer) --AEA, SAG-AFTRA, Dramatists Guild, LPTW-- Hudson Classical: Lady Catherine de Bourgh in Pride & Prejudice, Gertrude in Hamlet, Queen Anne in The Three Musketeers, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest and HW Valentine Monologue Festival. National & international tours as Aphra Behn in Love Arm’d, including the Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, Scotland and the Mission Theatre, Bath, UK. Karen plays Jane Austen in her solo play, Cheer from Chawton, which has toured coast to coast from Stockton, CA to NYC to the Mission Theatre in Bath. Directing credits: include Romeo & Juliet and She Stoops to Conquer at Bergen Community College.
Nathan Mattingly (Music Director) is a NYC-based actor, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. He has served as Hudson Classical’s Musical Director since 2016. As an actor, Nathan has performed with the company as King Richard in Richard II, Horatio in Hamlet, D’Artagnan in The Three Musketeers, Pompey in Antony and Cleopatra and Aeneas in Trojan Women, among others. Film/TV: “AHS:NYC”, "Ramona". Nathan has composed original music for Much Ado About Nothing (Hudson Classical), Othello (Hudson Classical), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (ACC). Nicholas Martin-Smith founded Hudson Classical Theater Company in 2004 and served as its Artistic Director for 18 years. For Hudson Classical Theater Company, he has directed, among other plays, an original adaptation of Cyrano adapted by Joseph Hamel, Romeo and Juliet (twice), as well as the award winning MARGARET: Shakespeare’s Warrior Queen, an adaptation he created from Shakespeare’s Henry IV trilogy. Mr. Martin-Smith also had the pleasure of directing the world premiere of a new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’s The D’Artagnan Romances which includes The Three Musketeers, The Three Musketeers: Twenty Years Later, and The Man in the Iron Mask, all adapted by his long-time collaborator Susane Lee.
Susane Lee is the Executive Artistic Director of Hudson Classical Theater Company and founder of W.A.G.G. (Writers-A-Go-Go). She has adapted & directed several productions for HCTC, including Pride & Prejudice, Lysisarah, and co-directed Emma. She has also directed for 365 Women a Year Playwrights Festival and received Best Director Finalist, twice, for the Take Ten Theater Festival. She most recently directed Lucy Wang’s one-woman show, The Silver Menace. Susane has adapted many classics for the stage, including six Alexandre Dumas novels, and three Jane Austen novels. Susane began her career in television where she was at WGBH/NOVA series for several years, then at Channel 13 where she traveled to more than 100 cities across the US., producing and writing one hour documentaries for 12 years. She’s a Lifetime member of the Writers Guild of America, East and a member of SAG/AFTRA. Susane published a memoir in MORE Magazine and was a Finalist for the Artistic Achievement Award given by the League of Independent Theater in the fall of 2024. She will be adapting this summer’s productions of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility and The Lady from the Sea, by Henrik Ibsen.

Olivia Ball (Assistant Fight Director) has been training with NYCSS for 6 years, and loves the empowering and collaborative nature of fight work--from classic swashbuckling to super-powered punches; she also loves passing on her favorite moves to her Drama students at the Brearley School.
