CAST

Bruce Barton* (Claudius) Bruce is very pleased to be making his fifteenth appearance for Hudson Classical Theater Company, having last performed twice in HCTC’s 2026 Writers-A-Go-Go (WAGG) One Act Festival in March. He was seen in last summer’s 2025 season as the title role in Julius Caesar and Henry Dashwood/Thomas in Sense and Sensibility. Previously for HCTC, he was in, among others, The Winter’s Tale (as Leontes), Coriolanus, The Three Musketeers, Henry V, Hamlet (as Player King/Gravedigger), and The Merry Wives of Windsor. An HCTC company member since 2014, he has also performed in NYC with Gorilla Rep, Jean Cocteau Rep, Riverside Shakespeare, Break-A-Leg Productions, and the Blue Coyote Theater Company, as well as numerous regional theaters. He was also featured in the independent film “Paradise East.”

David Palmer Brown* (Polonius) David is a proud company member of Hudson Classical Theater Company. Pleased to be reprising the role of Polonius, he has appeared in many other roles with HCTC, including Junius Brutus in Coriolanus; Duncan and Siward in Macbeth; Porthos in The Three Musketeers 20 Years Later and The Man in the Iron Mask; the title roles in King Lear and King John; and de Guiche in Cyrano de Bergerac. Elsewhere in New York he has appeared as Judge Brack in Hedda Gabler; Sir George Crofts in Mrs. Warren’s Profession; and Pugachov in The German Bitch, among others.

Bryan Bryk* (Horatio) Bryan is excited to be in another summer season with Hudson Classical Theater Company. Bryan has been a company member of Hudson Classical Theater Company since 2021 and has been in recent productions including playing Young Richard in Margaret: Shakespeare's Warrior Queen and Malcolm in Macbeth, as well as performing in their recent WAGG festivals. Off-Broadway: Breathing (TBTB), Merry Wives of Windsor (Stag and Lion Theatre Co). Film/TV: "Quest For The Missing Scripts," "Mr. Marmalade." John Fisher* (Voltemand/Player King/Priest/Sailor) John is thrilled to be making his debut at Hudson Classical Theatre. His Off-Broadway credits include Joy (Actors’ Playhouse), which he wrote, and Medea the Musical (Actors’ Temple), which he wrote and directed. John received the Best Actor Award from the United Solo Festival NYC for his A History of World War II. John’s favorite roles include Iago, Dysart in Equus, Garry in Present Laughter, and Alan Turing in Breaking the Code, mostly with Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco. Regionally, he’s worked with American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Rep, and the Yale School of Drama. Awards include Theatre Bay Area Award, two Glickmans, Backstage’s Garland, and the GLAAD Media Award.

Adam Grodman* (Rosencrantz/Fortinbras) Adam is so happy to be working with Hudson Classical Theater Company for a second time, having previously appeared as Algernon in their production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Other recent stage credits include Brutus in Coriolanus and Jack Seward in Dracula. He earned his BFA from the University of Arizona and is proudly represented by the Ann Steele Agency. Andrew Hamilton (Hamlet #1) Andrew is excited to be a part of his first production with Hudson Classical Theater Company! Having studied at New York University, his past Off Broadway credits include Don Pedro/Don John in HSVF’s Much Ado About Nothing, the Typist in Typewriting Maniacs, and James in Creative Circles. Matthew Harmon* (Hamlet #3) Matthew is thrilled to be back with Hudson Classical Theater Company for this production of Hamlet. He first performed with Hudson Classical Theater Company as Young Clifford in their production of Margaret: Shakespeare’s Warrior Queen. Other credits include Feste in The Winter’s Tale, Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, and Coriolanus in Coriolanus. He would like to thank his friends, family, and his fiancée Maya.

Clarissa Hernandez (Hamlet #2) Clarissa is immensely pleased have their Hudson Classical Theater Company debut! Hailing from the border city of El Paso, Texas, they seek to bring intersectionality and a classic Mexican magical realism flair to acting, writing, and improvising. You may have but most likely not have seen them in the independent feature "Sinner" from Torchlight Studios or in the musical film "Hip Hop Clowns." Their most recent theatre work was as Kat/Amelia in Bridge Street Theatre's production of Mary Jane and as The Countess in The Underground Theatre Alliance's production of All's Well That Ends Well. Mark Hofmaier* (Ghost/Grave Digger) Mark is delighted to be a part of this live production in Riverside Park. His acting resume features leading roles in regional theaters across the country and Off-Broadway productions of new plays here in New York City. Other Shakespeare includes leading roles in Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, King John, and Richard II.

Caroline Renee* (Ophelia) Caroline is thrilled to make her Hudson Classical Theater Company debut. She recently originated the role of Lucy Gillis in the regional premiere of Louisa Gillis by Tony-nominated playwright, Joanna Glass, at San Diego's North Coast Rep. She also appeared in Witnesses: A New Musical (Ensemble) at The Rubicon Theatre. Other regional includes: A Million Aisles Away (Hope; Santa Monica Playhouse), Doll's House, Part Two (Emmy; Elmwood Playhouse), Bridges of Madison County (Carolyn; Elmwood), and Spring Awakening (u/s Wendla; Nimbus Arts Center). Jane Seaman* (Player Queen/Osric) Jane is a Broadway veteran—Anything Goes with Patti LuPone & Leslie Uggams, The Secret Garden with Mandy Patinkin and Rebecca Luker, Big River with Daniel Jenkins and Marin Mazzie. While Jane has begun production on her solo cabaret show “Red-Headed Woman,” slated for 9/29/26, 10/3/26 and 10/9/26 at Don’t Tell Mama, NYC, she is thrilled to be acting in her second play in one year—Breaking the Trust, and now Hamlet. Jane is happy to join Hudson Classical Theater Company again, last seen in Romeo and Juliet as Lady Montague. You may also have seen Jane on TV in Ryan Murphy’s “Capote vs. The Swans,” as Nona Parks opposite Diane Lane and Tom Hollander. Jane has joined the cabaret and concert world again, first with “Love is in the Air” for Nicori Studios, ’21, “Hi-Ho, the Glamorous Life!” as a benefit for the EAG and again at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, ’22. Michael Colby and Tom Toce keep her busy each Holiday Season at Urban Stages singing his songs (and others). She can be heard on Michael Colby’s “Other Lives” CD. Logan Shiller (Laertes/Fight Captain) Logan is grateful to work with such an amazing team. Logan's recent credits include: Tanner in House of Waffle at the New York City Fringe, Emil/Fight Director in One Way Ticket at the Chemnitz E.C.C. Festival (Germany), and Ethan/Fight Director in Kiln at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Scotland). Logan graduated from Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in Acting. Tristan Strasser (Guildenstern/Grave Digger’s Companion) Tristan is thrilled to be back with Hudson Classical Theater Company, playing Willy the Guard in the 2021 production of The Count of Monte Cristo. Credits include Othello (Roderigo), Woyzeck (Andres), and Cherry Hill at the Englewood Blackbox PAC; Romeo and Juliet (Sampson/Peter) at Powerhouse Theatre, An Ideal Husband (Goring) at Classic Theatre Guild, and Once Upon a Time in NYC at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. PRODUCTION TEAM

Nicholas Martin-Smith (Director) Nicholas founded Hudson Classical Theater Company in 2004 and served as its Artistic Director for 18 years. For Hudson Classical Theater Company, he has directed, among other plays, Romeo and Juliet (twice), as well as the award winning MARGARET: Shakespeare’s Warrior Queen, an adaptation he created from Shakespeare’s Henry IV trilogy. Mr. Martin-Smith also had the pleasure of directing the world premiere of a new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’s The D’Artagnan Romances which includes The Three Musketeers, The Three Musketeers: Twenty Years Later, and The Man in the Iron Mask, all adapted by his long-time collaborator Susane Lee. Other directing highlights include Uncle Vanya, Coriolanus, The School for Scandal, The Count of Monte Cristo, and the upcoming The Dancing Men: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, an original adaption by Susane Lee, from the short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle where Nicholas also plays the role of Sherlock Holmes.

Susane Lee (Executive Producer) Susane is the Executive Artistic Director of Hudson Classical Theater Company and founder of W.A.G.G. (Writers-A-Go-Go). She has adapted & directed several productions for HCTC, including Pride & Prejudice, Lysisarah, and co-directed Emma. She has also directed for 365 Women a Year Playwrights Festival and received Best Director Finalist, twice, for the Take Ten Theater Festival. She recently directed Lucy Wang’s one-woman show, The Silver Menace. Susane has adapted many classics for the stage including six Alexandre Dumas novels and three Jane Austen novels.
Susane began her career in television where she was at WGBH/NOVA series for several years, then at Channel 13 where she traveled to more than 100 cities across the US., producing and writing one hour documentaries for 12 years. She’s a Lifetime member of the Writers Guild of America, East and a member of SAG/AFTRA. Susane published a memoir in MORE Magazine and was a Finalist for the Artistic Achievement Award given by the League of Independent Theater in the fall of 2024. She wrote and adapted this summer’s production of The Dancing Men: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, from the short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sophia Lopez (Production Stage Manager) Sophia is thrilled to be a part of this rendition of Hamlet with Hudson Classical Theater Company. With experience as a production assistant for several Film/TV projects, and recently Stage Managing This Purpling F*cking Pot set in an office building in Times Square, Sophia enjoys being a part of a team that can make things happen. She couldn't have done it without the love and support in her life. Cheers to many more creative experiences!

Annette Fox (Assistant Director) Annette is excited and grateful to be the assistant director for HCTC’S production of HAMLET. In March 2026 she directed two short plays for WAGG (Writers-a-Go-Go), a One-Act Play Festival produced by Hudson Classical Theater Company. She has performed for Hudson Classical Theater Company since 2018 as: the Duchess of Gloucester in Margaret: Shakespeare’s Warrior Queen; Madame de St. Marins/Heloise in the Count of Monte Cristo; Queen Anne of Austria in The Man in the Iron Mask; and Mrs. Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility. Paula Walters Parker (Costume Designer) Paula is an artist who loves to experiment with materials and see where they lead her. From everyday foraged pigments and natural textures to bold colors and layered strokes, she lets her art unfold as a playful dialogue, exploring how each element interacts and surprises. Drawing on family stories, music, and daily experiences, her work is a celebration of resilience, curiosity, and connection. Through what she calls “active imagination,” Parker lets materials take the lead, embracing spontaneity and accidents that bring unexpected beauty. She describes her practice as creating a scenario whereby she relinquishes control to the materials, allowing herself to be attuned to the accidents and opportunities to pivot. Her pieces invite viewers to pause, reflect, and enjoy the opportunity to ask questions.
Parker holds an undergraduate degree in Visual Arts and a Masters of Creative Art Therapy. When she’s not in the studio creating, she is sharing her passion for creativity with her students and art therapy community. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she currently resides with her husband and two children, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Tony Mita (Fight Director) Tony has been training & working in this art for over 15 years and is driven by a mix of his passions for historical martial arts and nerd culture to create a blend of martially realistic with out-of-this-world fantastical in his work. Tony has been the fight director of many Hudson Classical Theater Company’s productions over the years.

Mabon Gibson (Assistant Fight Director) Mabon has been training and working in stage combat for 6 years and has training in Brazilian Jujitsu, Muay Thai, and Shotokan Karate. They enjoy using stage violence as a vehicle for character work and strive to empower others to do so as well. Mabon is also the fight and vocal instructor for Hudson Classical Theater Company’s Shakespeare Workouts, given three times a summer.

Thomas J. Donohoe II (Assistant Stage Manager) is excited for his first production with Hudson Classical Theater Company. He is an NJ/NYC based stage manager, director, and designer with a degree in Directing/Stage Management from Ramapo College of NJ.

Anastasia Koronioti-Davis (Associate Costume Designer) Anastasia recently worked on Hudson Classical Theater Company’s production of Uncle Vanya and is excited to work on all three shows of their summer season. She has designed dance costumes for performers in MOPTOP Showcase, Prelude Dance Competition, international salsa competitions. An architect and dancer/performer herself, Anastasia loves to bring depth to characters on stage through texture, color and movement. She enjoys creating upcycle fashion and swimwear.
